We have a structured and flexible development process. Features and enhancements are first presented as raw ideas that our Leadership Team shapes before presenting to our Development Team to work on spanning a 3 to 6 week cycle, depending on our appetite. Here is quick summary of the Shape Up process that inspired us.
We follow a testing first, Github flow PR strategy where all pushes are automatically run through a CI build server. We have a preference for full end-to-end and integration testing. Most communication happens in our project management tool Basecamp with PR specific communication happening in Github.
You will own your features and bug fixes from start to completion – including API design, implementation, user interface design, testing, and deployment to our staging and production pipelines. This often involves collaborating with other teams.
We are looking for someone who likes to spend most of the day solving problems with code, but can also contribute to the bigger goals of the business. All members of the team are encouraged to think about the strategic direction of the product, present their own ideas, and push back on other’s ideas in a respectful way.
Starting a business is hard, especially for those that are less tech-literate. Therefore, our company culture is geared towards customer support and being empathetic to anyone who contacts us. This core value is deep in our roots as a business and has been emphasized since day one.
